She has worked with individuals, families and young people for over 30 years before embarking on this privileged profession. She has experience in running both group work and individual sessions with various client groups including, victims of domestic violence, family breakdown, substance dependency and abuse (both within the voluntary and statutory sectors). Her training in Humanistic counselling and background in family and youth work allows her to use both person focussed and systemic models to enable people to achieve their objectives in 1-1 therapy. She uses an integration of various theoretical perspectives and can 'bespoke' sessions collaboratively with her clients to enable them to achieve their objectives from therapy. She offers warmth, empathy and a soft landing for difficult feelings to land. She works well with people that are motivated to travel towards a more fruitful and affective way of being that will in turn, She hopes, be life affirming for them. She aims to walk alongside her clients and offesr them a space to be that is confidential and non-judgemental. She can offer challenge and opportunities for more directive work. She is able to offer creative methods such as stone and sand work as well as work with Russian dolls and art.
