About

She successfully completed her undergraduate education in psychology at Koç University. During her undergraduate education, she did a minor in Social Policy and Law. During her undergraduate years, she had the opportunity to work as a trainee psychologist in many hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and she improved herself both theoretically and practically by actively participating in training, seminars, and various workshops. In the last year of her education, she took part as an "experiment operator" and "research volunteer" in a study investigating the effectiveness of dialectical behavioral therapy. She completed her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (MSc in Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology) from the University of Reading in England with an "Honours" Degree and earned the title of Clinical Psychologist. During her MA, she worked as a "research assistant" at the AndY (Youth Anxiety and Depression) research clinic. During this time, she additionally assisted various academics in the university's Department of Psychology. She wrote her thesis on the relationships between past and future-oriented thoughts and anxiety, depression, rumination, and anxiety. She completed the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy training, which she chose as the psychotherapy method, under supervision. She sees clients regularly and uses the "self-compassion" technique that she was taught a lot in her sessions.
