About

She graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Psychology. She wrote her undergraduate thesis on "Parenting Stress and Postpartum Depression and its Relationship with Co-Parenting." She graduated from Bournemouth University's Master's Program in Clinical Psychology. She wrote her master's thesis on "Gender Differences in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder." During her undergraduate and graduate education, she did her official internships at Bakırköy Psychiatric and Neurological Disorders Hospital, Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, psychiatric outpatient clinics, and inpatient services. She also worked as a research assistant at Altınbaş University, Department of Psychology, during her undergraduate education. In addition, she took part as an observer in the research and writing stages of the article "The Relationship of Perception of Cooperation in Parenting with the Socioeconomic Status of Families." During her undergraduate education, she took part in various community and social responsibility projects at Bilkent University as an executive member and participant. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as an institutional psychotherapist with middle and high school students and their families in a private educational institution. During this time, she completed corporate training, skills training, and supervision practice at the Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a method of therapy that focuses on the effects of human thoughts and emotions on behavior. After her master's degree, she started to work at the Boylam Psychiatry Institute. In addition to daily structured sessions, she gave group therapies to Turkish and foreign patients who were hospitalized there. She also conducted weekly structured psychotherapy sessions with clients who were outpatients and followed up in the practice. During this time, she received Acceptance and Commitment Therapy training from the Contextual Sciences Association. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a behavioral therapy method that examines each behavior in its own context rather than seeing behaviors as good or bad. She was trained and certified to use the Minnesota Personality Inventory Test. She is a member of the Turkish Psychological Association. She has completed her undergraduate and graduate education in English. She speaks advanced English.
